How do I attract consistency?
Be consistent. Choose consistency and it will choose you.
Why do I keep stepping in inconsistency?
Because you’re not sure what it is you want. You do things for a while and then put it down. It’s a habit you’ve had for years so granted will be a little bit tougher to break, but it is doable. Show up for yourself the same way you show up for your job. You may be late today, but you still go. The difference is that you go to get paid. There’s an exchange. You tend to look for an exchange when enacting certain habits and two things can happen:
1. Either you see “enough” results and then you feel like you don’t have to keep doing the very action
2. You don’t get whatever results you’re looking for then think what you’re doing is meaningless and a waste of time.
Patience my boy. And even then with patience it’s understanding that to build consistency for something requires you to choose it so it becomes automatic like all other habits. Look at all results as something that is ongoing vs. a destination.
The only destination is death. That is where we’re all heading. We are in what feels like an eternal fall but eventually there is a ground. There is an impact and transition. This is all temporary. We are experiencing a lot of what others have come, done, and gone. Leaving behind information, legacies, structures, memories from moments of their time. These words are a moment of my time. Every single letter and space. Reflections of me typing against the keys. My fingers hitting the screen, my eyes moving up and down the display. Movement, time, and space that is constantly evaporating.
